Estate Planning and Your Finances

Part of the Library's Moneysmart Middleton series
. This class will cover the basic decisions of estate planning as it relates to your retirement, investments, financial planning, and your desired legacy. The course is appropriate for everyone concerned with what will happen to their money once they are gone or die unexpectedly, as well as those who have family members with special needs. We will discuss the importance of wills and trusts and how to avoid making common mistakes in relation to your money. Resources for further information will also be available. Presented by Laurie Ellis-McLeod, an independent financial advisor specializing in estate planning, long-term investment strategies, and planning for long-term care. A former instructor at UW-Madison, Laurie holds a Ph.D. in Human Development from the University of Delaware.
