Rowling. (A great way to prepare for ExpectoCon 2018, happening in August!) After lunch, we’ll do crafts and activities inspired by the book. At our final meeting, we’ll watch the movie! The Splash Pad is a free, outdoor sprinkler park in Lakeview Park in Middleton. Look for us under the large pavilion or near the Splash Pad. (Weather permitting.) Visit the Middleton Public Library at this year's Cops and Bobbers event held at Lakeview Park in Middleton (6300 Mendota Ave). Hosted by the Middleton Optimist Club, this FREE event is fun for the whole family and is a great way to spend time with family over Father’s Day weekend. First 150 kids age 15 and under receive a free fishing rod, reel & bobber or bring your own fishing gear if you have it! Fun contests & prizes including BIG & Little fish contest & more. Free food and beverages too! Visit the library's table to choose a free book, to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, or to just say hi! Weather permitting. Rain Date is June 24th at same time.

Join the Middleton Public Library and the Middleton Recreation Department at Parisi Park (2405 Park Street) for the International Day of Yoga Celebration! There will be a FREE yoga class from 1:30-2:15pm and then a FREE parent/child yoga class from 2:30-3pm. Don’t have a mat? That’s okay, bring a towel instead. Learn more about the benefits of yoga, or script your “act of kindness” or personal message of gratitude. There will be lots of books on yoga to borrow too. Don’t forget to bring your library card or get one at the celebration! No registration required. (Street parking only.) We’re giving away free books this summer at Springtree Apartments (located at Maywood Avenue & Amherst Road in Middleton.) See below for directions. Visit the Middleton Public Library Outreach Librarian and Sauk Trail Elementary School Librarian at Springtree Apartments on June 27 and July 18 from 5:30-7pm to choose some free books to keep! All Middleton students in grades K-4 are invited. DIRECTIONS: If coming from Sauk Trail Elementary on Branch Street, at stop sign make a right onto Maywood Avenue from Branch Street and go .2 miles. Look for us at the playground, which is on the left just past Amherst Road and in the middle of a cluster of apartments. If coming from Allen Boulevard, go .1 miles towards 6300 Maywood Avenue and the playground is on the right in the middle of a cluster of apartments. Bring your little sprouts to the Greenway Station Farmers’ Market on Thursday June 28 for the first of five free events in the Greenway Station Playdate Series! The Middleton Public Library will kick off the free Greenway Station Playdate Series on June 28 with a 10am storytime with Miss Lori followed by a craft activity and lots of fun outdoor activities before and after storytime! Also, families can work together to complete the Farmer's Market Passport Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win Greenway Station gift cards. Pick up your passport scavenger hunt sheet at the library's table. There will also be books to borrow so don't forget to bring your library card or sign up for one at the event. Feel free to bring your own comfy blanket to sit on during storytime, if you like. Once a month (June through October), the Greenway Station Playdate Series will host different partners who will provide free hands-on activities for kids. After this June 28th kickoff event with the Middleton Public Library, make sure to visit us at Greenway Station again on July 12, August 9, and September 13 from 8-1pm for book checkout, outdoor toys to play with, and simple crafts to try. Other Greenway partners will provide lots of fun free offerings too.
