Come check out the exciting world of Sound Beginnings and Let's Play Music, ideal for waddlers through age 6. Play and interact with your child(ren) in a loving way while learning preschool literacy skills (ages 1-4) and advanced musical skills (ages 4- 6). We use play as the medium through which concepts and skills are learned because as we know, children learn most effectively when they are playing. We will sing, jump, tell stories, play instruments, do finger plays and of course laugh!

LC3 = Loosely Controlled Chaos Club (Grades K-6) We Got the Beat - Heart Rate Experiments Jan 4, 4:15-5pm Calling all MAD SCIENTISTS! Join forces to explore & create. This month we’ll see how our hearts respond to 4 different activities by measuring, recording and comparing our heart rates. Adults, please don your own goggles to assist our younger scientists. little om BIG OM presents Yoga for young kids and families. Songs, rhymes and games make learning & practicing yoga fun! Recommended for families and toddlers. Registration does fill up for this event every month, so please remember to cancel if you are unable to attend. What social change in the world would you most like to see? Enter our teen essay contest on this theme by Jan. 8 for a chance at a $25 prize. (Grades 7-12, limit 2 pgs.) All ages are welcome to join us on Jan. 15 to hear some of Martin Luther King’s speeches, as well as our contest winner’s essay! We will also have the button-maker out for you to create buttons of your favorite quotes.

‘Tween Winter Writers Club (Grades 3-6) Part I: Monday, Jan 22, 6:00-7:00pm Part II: Monday, Feb 19, 6:00-7:00pm Do you have a story to tell? Need a little motivation to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard)? Writing together is more fun than going it alone! At our first meeting, we’ll brainstorm ideas, talk about genres, and get started. Then we’ll go our separate ways to continue our own writing. We’ll meet again in February to share our progress and talk about editing. Registration is required – space is limited
