Teen Summer Reading Program

Middleton Public Library

2017

REGISTRATION:

Teen Summer Reading Program

(Grades 6-12)

Begins:  Friday, June 9 at 9 am

Ends:  Saturday, August 12 at 10 am

Reading logs are available at the Help Desk of the Library.  Make your own goal of how much you think you can read. Spin the wheel for a prize when you reach your halfway and final goals!  Participants can also choose to donate to a charity (Habitat for Humanity) instead of choosing a prize.  Halfway prizes will be available starting June 23. Also, for every hour you read, you will be given an entry form for our Grand Prize Drawing on Saturday, August 12.  Three winners will be drawn at the Summer Reading Finale—the more you read, the better your chances of winning a Grand Prize!  Winners do not need to be present at the Finale to win, but if winners are present, they will get first pick of prizes.

Grand prizes: Go Pro camera, bluetooth headphones or amazon gift card.

It's easy:

  1. Get a reading log and write down what you read.
  2. Read 1 hour, fill out an entry form for the Grand Prizes!
  3. Spin the wheel and get a prize when you are half-way to your goal and when you reach your final goal!
  4. Come to the Finale to see who wins the Grand Prizes!

Which school will win? When you sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Program, drop a bean in your school’s jar and check to see which school is winning the race for the most avid readers!

Community Clues Scavenger Hunt! (Grades 6-12)

Decipher weekly riddles to find each week’s location! Ask at the location for your token, then trade them in at the Help Desk of the Middleton Public Library for a small prize and a ticket for the special Scavenger Hunt prize drawing at the Finale Picnic on Aug. 12!
