What's the key ingredient to healthier communities? More women leading food system change! Come celebrate the historic roots and inspiring stories of women in sustainable agriculture with Lisa Kivirist, author of Soil Sisters: A Toolkit for Women Farmers. Lisa leads the Rural Women's project, a venture of the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES). She is the author of the 2015 book Homemade for Sale: How to set up and market a food business from your home kitchen. She and her family run Inn Serendipity Bed & Breakfast in Browntown, WI. Join us starting at 6:00 to meet area women farmers, learn valuable farm and gardening tips, and sample locally-made products! Lisa will give a formal presentation starting at 7:00.
