Part of our Wellness Wednesdays miniseries of classes focusing on mental and emotional health! Join licensed therapist Mare Chapman as she demonstrates her practice of applying mindfulness to transform women’s conditioned, internalized sexism, gain freedom from incorrect beliefs, and build self trust and empowerment. In a current cultural climate that has seen birth of the #MeToo movement and the exposure of misogyny and sexism in everyday life, Chapman's book is incredibly timely and offers a highly effective method - mindfulness - to help women grow into their authentic selves. Mare Chapman, M.A., provides mindfulness-based psychotherapy, teaches classes, leads retreats, and trains mental health professionals in mindfulness. With forty years of clinical experience, she’s been practicing mindfulness for over 30 years. She recently published Unshakeable Confidence: The Freedom to Be Our Authentic Selves: Mindfulness for Women, based on the class she’s been teaching for 25 years. Copies of her book will be available for purchase at the event. Registration is appreciated for this event. Online using the link above or by email at info@midlibrary.org.
