Hiring a home improvement contractor can be a daunting task, but taking the time to do it right can save you a lot of headaches down the road. Don't fret, we've got you covered!  Credentials and licenses, written contracts, and clear communication are some of the things you will need to navigate.  We will give you valuable information and tips on avoiding common pitfalls to ensure that you will have an epic home improvement experience with a contractor you can trust.

Adam Weisse is the Executive Director at Project Home, but what makes him so unique is that he has truly done it all for the agency. He first joined the team way back in 2004. Before taking over the executive leadership of the entire staff, administration, and programs, he spent years as the Program Manager. In that role, he personally ran the essential Home Repair, Accessibility, and Weatherization programs.

Because he has served in so many different roles across the organization,Adam understands every single layer of what Project Home does—from big-picture community strategy right down to the actual tools and techniques needed to fix a house. He’s an absolute expert in energy efficiency and home performance, holding a building contractor license alongside certifications as a Wisconsin Weatherization Energy Auditor and BPI Building Analyst.

He’s a U.S. Army Veteran, a UW-Madison graduate, and a passionate believer in Project Home’s mission.
