Middleton's City Hall, Library, and Senior Center buildings are outdated, inefficient, and lack adequate space to meet today's needs. Previous studies dating back to 2014 have shown significant building deterioration, rising maintenance costs, and barriers to accessibility. This project aims to create a right-sized, sustainable, and financially responsible Community Campus to serve the growing and changing needs of the community.

'Tween Book Club: On A Wing and A Tear (Ages 9-12)

Monday, November 24 @ 6pm

Mel Roberts and Ray Halfmoon have grown up as practically siblings. Behind the bungalow where they live, Great-Grandfather Bat has made himself a home. Bat is a living legend, who won the Great Ball Game for the Animals against the birds a long time ago. Now that a rematch is coming up, Bat wants to help, but his wing has a tear in it. Grampa Charlie offers to drive Mel, Ray and Bat to Georgia for the game, but will Bat heal in time? They experience adventure, danger, and a mystery along the way!

Así Respiro: Bilingual Storytime & Breathing Stations with Local Author Samira Alvarez Gretzinger

Saturday, December 6 @ 10am (Ages 5-10)

Join local author and bilingual educator Samira Alvarez Gretzinger for a joyful and interactive bilingual storytime based on her book Así Respiro (This Is How I Breathe). Families will explore four creative breathing techniques through themed stations that blend mindfulness, art, and movement. Activities include a Wave Breath station with beach-themed crafts, a Heart Breath station with bracelet-making, a Butterfly Breath station with butterfly crafts, and a Star Breath station with scratch art. Children will also receive a special Así Respiro bookmark to take home. This program celebrates language, culture, and emotional well-being in a fun, family-friendly environment.

It's 1935 and 12 year old Moose moves with his family to Alcatraz Island where his dad works at Alcatraz prison. 

The convicts we have are the kind other prisons don't want. I never knew prisons could be picky, but I guess they can. You get to Alcatraz by being the worst of the worst. Unless you're me. I came here because my mother said I had to.”
