The bookmobile is full of books for all ages to borrow with a library card. Don't have a library card yet?  You can get one inside the bookmobile! Kids and teens can also choose a free book (while supplies last), then stay and play in the park.

Stop by Parkside Heights Park on July 15 from 1:00-2:30pm to choose some free books to keep!  All Middleton Cross Plains School District students in grades K-12 are invited.

The Northside Elementary librarian will be there along with Kromrey Middle School and Elm Lawn staff.  and Middleton Public Library staff.  The new Middleton Public Library Bookmobile will be there too! Step onboard to borrow books for all ages, get a library card, or return borrowed items. 

Parkside Heights Park is located at at 3201 Northbrook in Middleton.

This event is rain or shine! If raining, this event will be held inside the entryway at Kromrey Middle School (7009 Donna Drive).

Visit the Middleton Public Library's Bookmobile on Wednesday, July 16 at the Free Summer Meals Program in the Middleton High School cafeteria!  

All MCPASD students ages 18 and younger and community members under 18 years old can receive free breakfast and lunch from June 23 through July 31 through the Free Summer Meals Program held at the Middleton High School.  Breakfast is served 7:45am-8:45am and lunch is serviced 11:00am-12:20pm. PLEASE NOTE: all meals must be eaten on-site & carry out meals are not available.  

Step onboard the bookmobile when it visits this Free Summer Meals program at Middleton High School on July 2, 9, 16, and 23rd from 11-12:30pm to borrow books during the library's visit, and choose a free book to keep! (while supplies last)  Look for the bookmobile parked right out front of the cafeteria!

The Middleton High School cafeteria is located at 2100 Bristol Street and the cafeteria entrance is near the indoor pool.

‘Tween Book Club: Frederick Sandwich and the Earthquake that Can’t Possibly Be (Ages 9-12)

But something has caused the unexplainable shaking on an otherwise ordinary night. The problem is no one will talk about it. The entire town claims that the earthquake didn't happen.

Tiny Tots Storytime (Ages 0-3)

Thursdays, 9:30 & 10:30am

Come for stories, songs, dancing, and more! This storytime will consist of shorter books, fun songs, playful rhymes, and early literacy skills. 

Ages are recommendations only. Everyone is invited to attend whatever storytime works best for them.

CI Pediatric Therapy Playgroup

Join the Middleton Public Library on Saturday, August 9, from 10-2PM at Capital Flight (8264 Airport Road, Middleton) for the 5th annual Cruise-In featuring Aviation and Autos, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting CARS CURING KIDS! Donation opportunities available if you would like to support Cars Curing Kids, which helps fund pediatric research at the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.

Admission is FREE for spectators!  Entrance is at the main gate located at 8300 Airport Rd., Middleton, WI.  Explore the planes, cars, and the Capital Flight Hangar for displays and auction items.  

Make sure to also visit the Middleton Public Library's Bookmobile during the event to borrow books or get a library card. Kids can also choose a free kids book to keep (while supplies last).  

PLEASE NOTE: This is a live airfield. Aircraft movements will be occurring. Give them a wide birth. Also please watch children etc… as many highly valuable collector vehicles and aircraft will be present. Definitely look, but please don’t touch any of the cars or aircraft on display!

Food and drinks will be available to purchase on-site. Enjoy live music too!

Visit the new Middleton Public Library's Bookmobile at beautiful Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Avenue) on Monday, August 11 between 1-2:30pm. Look for the bookmobile parked near the pavilion or in the parking lot.

The bookmobile is full of books for all ages to borrow with a library card. Don't have a library card yet?  You can get one inside the bookmobile! Kids and teens can also choose a free book (while supplies last), then stay and play in the park.

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor events are weather permitting and may be cancelled last minute based on projected forecast.

Stop by Parkside Heights Park on August 13 from 1:00-2:30pm to choose some free books to keep!  All Middleton Cross Plains School District students in grades K-12 are invited.

The Northside Elementary librarian will be there along with Kromrey Middle School and Elm Lawn staff.  and Middleton Public Library staff.  The new Middleton Public Library Bookmobile will be there too! Step onboard to borrow books for all ages, get a library card, or return borrowed items. 

Parkside Heights Park is located at at 3201 Northbrook in Middleton.

This event is rain or shine! If raining, this event will be held inside the entryway at Kromrey Middle School (7009 Donna Drive).

'Tween Book Club: Mihi Ever After (Ages 9-12)

Enjoy a performance with Sean Gaskell as he demonstrates the kora - a 21 stringed West African harp. Come hear sounds of a 300 year old instrument whose musical roots trace back 800 years! Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Sean Gaskell studied under the extensive instruction of Moriba Kuyateh and the late Malamini Jobarteh in Gambia, and both Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Senegal. The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mandinka empire.

Bring your little sprouts to Greenway Station at the Farmers' Market on Thursday, July 10 between 9:30-11:30am for this free, family-friendly event! 

The new Middleton Public Library Bookmobile will be at the market with books inside for all ages to borrow!  There will also be a selection of free books for kids (while supplies last) and a variety of outdoor toys for kids to enjoy. Don't forget to bring your shopping bag and stop by all of the wonderful vendors at the farmers' market, which is open from 8-1pm. 

Greenway Station is located at 1650 Deming Way in Middleton.
