If an item is not available in LINKcat, we may be able to obtain it from a library outside of the South Central Library System. For more information about Interlibrary Loan, see the SCLS FAQ.
The following rules apply to Interlibrary Loan items requested at the Middleton Public Library:
Up to 5 items may be requested via Interlibrary Loan per day, with a limit of 100 per year. This yearly limit includes requests made at other SCLS libraries. Requests may not be made if there are charges totaling over $20.00 on your library card. Please take care of all charges before making your request.
Multiple volumes in a series count as separate requests. If you do not need all volumes in a series, please indicate which volume or volumes you are requesting.
Items requested at the Middleton Public Library can only be picked up and returned to the Middleton Public Library. If you wish to pick up and return your item at another library, please make your request at that library.
The due date is determined by the lending library and will vary by item. Renewals must be requested at least 3 days before the item is due. Renewals are granted only by the lending library and are not guaranteed.
The fine for overdue items is $1 per day, with a maximum of $20 per item.
The owning library may recall an item at any time. In the case of a recall, the item must be returned immediately.
A pink bookmark with these rules and the due date will be included with the item. This bookmark must be returned to the Middleton Public Library with the item. The charge for a lost bookmark is $3.00.
To request an item via Interlibrary Loan, please either come to the library and fill out an ILL Item Request Form or use the form below.
