Dr. Sam H. Abitat just got back from his year-long trip where he researched different habitats all around the world. He scheduled a presentation for his return to share what he learned with those who are interested. On his way out the door, he dropped all his materials and they flew everywhere! Can you help him sort through his things and make it to his presentation on time?

Driving Me Crazy (Gr. 1)
Hop in the car—we are going for a drive! Where do you want to go? We just have to make sure we follow the directions and pay attention to road signs. Don’t forget to put your seatbelt on!

Fossil Fun (Gr. 3)
The students are so excited to show off what they have learned during their unit on fossils! Before they left yesterday, their teacher helped them set up the gym for the share fair.  Unfortunately, some curious preschoolers got in there this morning and explored for themselves. Help us get the gym back in order before the other students come to see!

Friday June 25   
 

The Middleton Public Library is partnering with the Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) and the Madison Reading Project to give free books to children this summer to kids and teens! These events will be held at the MOM location, weather permitting.

MOM is located at 3502 Parameter Street in Middleton. 

Books will be available for children from birth to 18 years old. A limited number of bilingual books may be available. 

Friday, June 25 from 9:00-11:00am and Friday, July 23 from 9-11am. 

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURES: Cars should enter the MOM parking lot and follow the cones; One household at a time at the library tables; Masks recommended.

This program is specifically designed for non-mobile babies who are able to remain on a socially distanced blanket with their family for the entire class period. Pre-registration opens the Wednesday prior to each week’s storytime, and capacity is limited. While we adore older siblings, we are unable to accommodate them at this program.

Mr. Hulvey has been busy teaching about the election process. Unfortunately, some of his students are still struggling to learn the basics. He decided to launch a school-wide election for a new class president to give his students real life voting experience!

Researchers have been on the trail of a large, mysterious creature for years!  Footprints, sounds, and sightings have all been recorded and analyzed by the Bigfoot Research Organization at their lab.  Last night the security cameras at the research lab caught a glimpse of something large and hairy on the recorded footage. Was it a wolf? A bear? Or something referred to as Sasquatch or Bigfoot?! The researchers need your help to collect more evidence and finally find Bigfoot once and for all before he disappears into the forest forever!

The Middleton Public Library is going to the parks this summer! 

Today's visit will be held at Harvey John and Lucille Taylor Park. Participants can choose free books and a take and make craft activity (while supplies last). 

Mask wearing is recommended when visiting the library table.

FINAL 2021 LIBRARY IN THE PARK VISIT LOCATION, DATE, & VISIT TIMES: Lakeview Park Splash Pad (6300 Mendota Ave): Monday from 1:30-3pm on August 23. Look for the library under or near the large pavilion.

Visit the Middleton Public Library at the Walter R. Bauman Aquatic Center for Park & Recreation's annual Middle School Pool Night! 

Middle School students will have full use of the pool just for themselves! Join us for an evening of swimming, activities, and music. Proceeds will benefit the Middleton Youth Center. Open to those in grades 5-8 from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 19. Please note this event is ONLY for Middle Schoolers, and the pool will be closed to all others. 

The Middleton Public Library will bring lots of free books and movies for attendees to keep! (while supplies last)

Admission is $4/person.
