Stop by Parkside Heights Park on July 23 from 1:00-2:30pm to choose some free books to keep!  All Middleton Cross Plains School District students in grades K-12 are invited.

The Northside Elementary librarian will be there along with Kromrey Middle School and Elm Lawn staff and Middleton Public Library staff.  

Parkside Heights Park is located at at 3201 Northbrook in Middleton.

This event is rain or shine! If raining, this event will be held inside the entryway at Kromrey Middle School (7009 Donna Drive).

Visit the Middleton Public Library on June 26, July 10 and July 24 at the Summer Meal Program in the Middleton High School cafeteria!  

The Summer Meal Program runs June 24 through August 1, from 11-12:30pm, and all MCPASD students ages 18 and younger can receive free meals. Please note that all meals must be eaten on-site & carry out meals are not available.  

Students can choose a free book on the days the Middleton Public Library will be visiting the program, while supplies last.

The Middleton High School cafeteria is located at 2100 Bristol Street and the cafeteria entrance is near the indoor pool.

Bring your little sprouts to the Greenway Station at the Farmers' Market on Thursday, July 25 between 9:30-11:30am for this free, family-friendly event! 

The Middleton Public Library will bring free books for kids (while supplies last) and a variety of outdoor toys for kids to enjoy . Don't forget to bring your shopping bag and stop by all of the wonderful vendors at the farmers' market, which is open from 8-1pm. 

Greenway Station is located at 1650 Deming Way in Middleton.

Read with Rooney!

Rooney is a 4-year-old professional therapy dog who was previously a diabetes-alert service dog. He has been working in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District since February, visiting schools and working with students. He helps students build empathy and compassion, provides emotional support for those in distress, and models kindness and unconditional love. He enjoys meeting with children, getting lots of pets, and being read to by students. Rooney is a yellow labrador retriever, and his favorite toy is a soccer ball.

'Tween Book Club: Katie the Catsitter (Ages 9-12)

Katie is dreading her summer vacation while her best friends will be away at camp, but her summer is saved when she gets a job catsitting for her upstairs neighbor. But, this isn't any ordinary catsitting job. Her neighbor has 217 cats! And, her neighbor also seems to always be out of the apartment when the city's most notorious villain commits a crime. Katie wonders is her neighbor out committing crimes while she sits for her unusual cats?

Dan Santat is a Caldecott Medal winner, a National Book Award winner, and a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator. Saturday August 10   
 

Join the Middleton Public Library on Saturday, August 10, from 10-3PM at Capital Flight (8264 Airport Road, Middleton) for the 4th annual Cruise-In featuring Aviation and Autos, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting CARS CURING KIDS! Donation opportunities available if you would like to support Cars Curing Kids, which helps fund pediatric research at the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.

Admission is FREE for spectators!  Entrance is at the main gate located at 8300 Airport Rd., Middleton, WI.  Explore the planes, cars, and the Capital Flight Hangar for displays and auction items.  

Make sure to also visit the Middleton Public Library at this event to choose a free kids book (while supplies last).  Plus try out our car movie themed trivia game!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a live airfield. Aircraft movements will be occurring. Give them a wide birth. Also please watch children etc… as many highly valuable collector vehicles and aircraft will be present. Definitely look, but please don’t touch any of the cars or aircraft on display!

Food and drinks will be available to purchase on-site. Enjoy live music too!

Join Pogie the Yogie LIVE in-person Fri. August 16th at 1:00pm! Kids of all ages are welcome for some yoga-inspired movement, mindfulness, silliness, and fun. Each session combines interactive exercises, joyous games, and yoga-inspired movement with children’s mindfulness techniques. Kids learn valuable, foundational, skills for healthy activity and emotional experience. Plus, lots of laughs, jokes, and a great time for all ages!

Called a Mindful Mr. Rogers by Madison Magazine, Pogie the Yogie is Madison's homegrown kids show combining fun adventures with yoga and community connection! Kids can watch Pogie episodes on YouTube and experience live events at schools, libraries, parades, and all kinds of interesting placed. Episode adventures include visiting the fire station, Chocolate Shoppe ice cream, Culver's, Madison Children's Museum, Mallard's baseball, and more!

Exploring new places and meeting interesting people, Pogie takes all that inspiration "Back to the Mat" for yoga-inspired movement and wellness activities. Make your own original miniature fairy and gnome garden to be displayed at the library! Pick up your starter kit at the library beginning September 3 and return by September 14.

One kit per household, while supplies last. Kits include one unique miniature garden container and a package of figurines and decor to get you started. You may use any of your own materials to create your miniature garden. Submitted fairy and gnome garden's will be on display at the library September 16 - September 28 so library patrons can vote for the Fairy, Gnome, and Garden Design Awards!

Visit the Middleton Public Library at this year's Cops and Bobbers event from 8-12pm, held at Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Ave) on Saturday, September 14. Hosted by the Middleton Optimist Club, this FREE event is fun for the whole family. 

First 150 kids age 15 and under receive a free fishing rod, reel & bobber, or bring your own fishing gear if you have it! 

Fun contests & prizes including BIG & Little fish contest & more.

Sign up for an easy intro to block coding in Minecraft! We'll be learning to make it rain chickens, sky write names, and even, hopefully, directing our Agent to build for us!

We will use Minecraft Education Edition, however this is NOT a freeplay session! No previous coding experience needed, this is an introductory session. Participants will need to know how to use the keyboard and mouse, and have basic typing skills.

Otter is most comfortable on her family's ship where she and her fathers collect the dragon hides that protect the queen's guards. But all is not well in the kingdom, and it might be the queen's fault. When Otter befriends London, a homeless kid, they soon realize that if the kingdom is going to be saved, it's going to be up to the kids.
