You look down and see that the camp leaders have left clues for you to solve. Solve these clues to get into the Glorious Glacier Park Camp.

Factory Machine Mishaps (Gr. 4)
Someone (or someTHING) is tinkering with the machines and assembly line equipment causing lots of mayhem in the factory. Work with your Sleuth Club mates to figure out what is behind all these mishaps so the factory can run efficiently again.

Parkside Heights Park is located at 3201 Northbrook Drive in Middleton, just off Donna Drive and two blocks from Kromrey Middle School.

Look for librarians from Elm Lawn, Northside, Kromrey, Middleton High School and the Middleton Public Library near the playground.

Babies and their caregivers are invited to learn American Sign Language (ASL) basics during outdoor storytime under the tent! This program is specifically designed for non-mobile babies who are able to remain on a socially distanced blanket with their family for the entire class period. Pre-registration opens the Wednesday prior to each week’s storytime, and capacity is limited. While we adore older siblings, we are unable to accommodate them at this program.

The Middleton Community Development Authority (CDA), in conjunction with the City of Middleton, is pleased to announce Downtown Middleton Summer Fun. There will be entertainment at Stone Horse Green at 7550 Hubbard Avenue in Downtown Middleton every Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm throughout the summer months. The Middleton Arts Committee will also be sponsoring a free arts and crafts table for children. There are picnic tables on the green, and feel free to bring a chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the fun.

The Middleton Public Library will join in the fun on July 15, July 29, August 12, and August 26, weather permitting.

Five Lyric Poets (Elementary, Middle Grades)
Five Lyric Poets, waxing poetic as they do, The first one said, “I see five shimmering shades of blue. The second one said, “I hear a smashing symphony of sounds.” The third one said, “I feel the spring breeze, air wafting, all around.” The fourth one said, “Alliterative words are a delight.” The fifth one said, “My thoughts are dancing as I write.” Then they put it all together, knew the poem was true, And the five lyric poets, sat back and enjoyed the view.

In Search of Bigfoot (Gr. K-3)
Researchers have been on the trail of a large, mysterious creature for years!  Footprints, sounds, and sightings have all been recorded and analyzed by the Bigfoot Research Organization at their lab.  Last night the security cameras at the research lab caught a glimpse of something large and hairy on the recorded footage. Was it a wolf? A bear? Or something referred to as Sasquatch or Bigfoot?! The researchers need your help to collect more evidence and finally find Bigfoot once and for all before he disappears into the forest forever!

Going Buggy – Coding (Elementary)
Who Let the Bugs In? Oh no! Our computer programs are buzzing, and beeping but not like they should. Bugs, real bugs, have gotten in and messed everything up! Please help rewrite the programs, beat the bugs and Break Out!

This special event is for little splashers, age 8 and under, along with their adult caretakers to have the pool to themselves. No big kids allowed! Admission is $4/person and all persons under eight must be accompanied into the water by someone 16 years of age or older.

Visit the Middleton Public Library at the Walter R. Bauman Aquatic Center for Park & Recreation's annual Middle School Pool Night! 

Middle School students will have full use of the pool just for themselves! Join us for an evening of swimming, activities, and music. Proceeds will benefit the Middleton Youth Center. Open to those in grades 5-8 from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 19. Please note this event is ONLY for Middle Schoolers, and the pool will be closed to all others. 

The Middleton Public Library will bring lots of free books and movies for attendees to keep! (while supplies last)

Admission is $4/person.

The Middleton Public Library is going to the parks this summer! 

Today's visit will be held at Lakeview Park and participants can choose free books (while supplies last).  Since this is the final summer park visit, the craft activity will be a selection of all of the leftover take and make crafts offered throughout the summer. (while supplies last)

Mask wearing is recommended when visiting the library table.

Thursday August 26   
 

The Middleton Community Development Authority (CDA), in conjunction with the City of Middleton, is pleased to announce Downtown Middleton Summer Fun. There will be entertainment at Stone Horse Green at 7550 Hubbard Avenue in Downtown Middleton every Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm throughout the summer months. The Middleton Arts Committee will also be sponsoring a free arts and crafts table for children. There are picnic tables on the green, and feel free to bring a chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the fun.

The Middleton Public Library will join in the fun on July 15, July 29, August 12, and August 26, weather permitting.

The following acts have been scheduled to play at the Stone Horse Green in July and August:

• July 1st: Moldy Jam
• July 8th: Madison Shakespeare
• July 15th: Slipjig
• July 22nd: The Tooles
• July 29th: Too Sick Charlie
• August 5th: Middleton Jazz
• August 12th: Ken Lonnquist
• August 19th: Blue Spruce
• August 26th: Mackenzie Moore

There will be a one-block street closure starting at the intersection of Hubbard Avenue and Parmenter Street to create a pedestrianized area for the event. The closure will take effect at 5pm and end at 9 pm. The City of Middleton encourages visitors to use one of the off-street public parking lots just a few steps from Stone Horse Green.

Visit the Middleton Public Library at this year's Cops and Bobbers event held at Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Ave). Hosted by the Middleton Optimist Club, this FREE event is fun for the whole family. 

First 150 kids age 15 and under receive a free fishing rod, reel & bobber or bring your own fishing gear if you have it! Fun contests & prizes including BIG & Little fish contest & more. 

Visit the library's table to choose a free book (while supplies last).  Weather permitting.
