If an item is not available in LINKcat, we may be able to obtain it from a library outside of the South Central Library System. For more information about Interlibrary Loan, see the SCLS FAQ.
The following rules apply to Interlibrary Loan items requested at the Middleton Public Library:
Starting January 1, 2022, items cannot be renewed.
Up to 5 items may be requested via Interlibrary Loan per day, with a limit of 100 per year. This yearly limit includes requests made at other SCLS libraries. Requests may not be made if there are charges totaling over $20.00 on your library card. Please take care of all charges before making your request.
Multiple volumes in a series count as separate requests. If you do not need all volumes in a series, please indicate which volume or volumes you are requesting.
Items requested at the Middleton Public Library can only be picked up and returned to the Middleton Public Library. If you wish to pick up and return your item at another library, please make your request at that library.
The due date is determined by the lending library and will vary by item.
The fine for overdue items is $1 per day, with a maximum of $20 per item.
The owning library may recall an item at any time. In the case of a recall, the item must be returned immediately.
You must wait six weeks from the item return date before requesting the same item again.
