Wednesday August 17   
 

Join the Middleton Public Library in the parks this summer!  

Visit the library on Wednesday, August 17 from 10:00-11:00am at Harvey John and Lucille Taylor Memorial Park to choose a free book and “take and make” activity (while supplies last), then stay and play in the park.

Harvey John and Lucille Taylor Memorial Park is located at 5280 Bishops Bay Pkwy.  Look for the library near the pavilion.


HERE'S A LIST OF REMAINING “LIBRARY IN THE PARK” VISITS:

Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Ave) Every other Monday from 1:30-3:00pm on  August 22

Harvey John and Lucille Taylor Memorial Park (5280 Bishops Bay Pkwy) Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00am on August 17

Thursday August 18   
 

Visit the Middleton Public Library at the Walter R. Bauman Aquatic Center for Park & Recreation's annual MIDDLE SCHOOL POOL NIGHT! 

Middle school students will have full use of the pool just for themselves! Join us for an evening of swimming, activities, and music. Proceeds will benefit the Middleton Youth Center. Open to those in grades 5-8 from 6:15-8pm on Thursday, August 18. Please note this event is ONLY for middle school students, and the pool will be closed to all others. 

The Middleton Public Library will bring lots of free books for attendees to keep! (while supplies last)

Admission is $4/person.




Monday August 22   
 

Join the Middleton Public Library in Lakeview Park for this final Library in the Park visit this summer!  

Visit the library on Monday, August 22 from 1:30-3:00pm at Lakeview Park to choose a free book and “take and make” activity (while supplies last), then stay and play in the park or under the Splash Pad.

Lakeview Park is located at 6300 Mendota Avenue. Look for the library under or near the large pavilion.

Saturday August 27   
 

Visit the Middleton Public Library at the Good Neighbor Fest on Saturday, August 27! 

There will be free books for all ages (while supplies last)! Learn more about upcoming library events. Get a library card! 

The library will be located between the carnival and the large pavilion at Fireman's Park.

See you there, neighbors! The Good Neighbor Fest is located at Fireman's Park, 7400 Lee Street, adjacent to Middleton High School.

RIDDLE ROMP at Lakeview Park, September 1-30

Visit Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Ave., Middleton) from September 1st through the 30th to enjoy Middleton Public Library's RIDDLE ROMP, a month-long installation in Middleton’s largest community park. 

In partnership with Middleton’s Parks and Recreation Department, take a self-guided leisurely stroll around Lakeview Park’s scenic pond to read, then guess the answers to several riddles that all ages can enjoy. Bring a friend and see who can answer each riddle correctly! 

Make sure to visit the Middleton Public Library (7425 Hubbard Avenue) to explore even more books with riddles, jokes, tongue twisters, etc.!




Saturday September 17   
 

Visit the Middleton Public Library at this year's Cops and Bobbers event from 8-12pm, held at Lakeview Park (6300 Mendota Ave) on Saturday, September 17. Hosted by the Middleton Optimist Club, this FREE event is fun for the whole family. 

First 150 kids age 15 and under receive a free fishing rod, reel & bobber, or bring your own fishing gear if you have it! Fun contests & prizes including BIG & Little fish contest & more. 

Visit the library's table to choose a free book (while supplies last).  Weather permitting.
